Discover Coffee: The Premium Fruit that Conquers Global Palates

Coffee is a drink that has been loved around the world for centuries, and Mexico is one of the countries that has a rich history in its production and cultivation. It's believed that coffee first arrived in Mexico via Veracruz in the 1790s, but it wasn't until the 19th century that coffee became one of the country's main exports.

The first Mexican coffee plantations were cultivated in the lowlands of Veracruz state, where the tropical climate and rich soil were ideal for their growth. As production grew, so did the demand for Mexican coffee, and plantations were soon established across the country.

In the late 19th century, the state of Chiapas became an important coffee production centre, and to this day, it remains one of Mexico's leading coffee producers. The Chiapas region has a perfect climate for coffee cultivation, with high altitudes and a cool temperature that help create a smooth and rich flavour.

Mexican coffee is appreciated around the world for its unique flavour and aroma. The most popular varieties include Chiapas, Veracruz, and Oaxaca coffee, each with its own distinctive flavour and aroma. Mexican coffee is also renowned for its sustainable and ethical production, with many producers using organic and fair-trade farming techniques.

At our company, we're proud to offer our customers the finest Mexican coffee, cultivated and produced to the highest standards of quality and sustainability. We work directly with local producers to ensure our customers get the best flavour and quality in every cup. Mexican Coffee: The Aromatic Legacy of Our Land

At Apex Eco Exporters, we've extended our passion for high-quality Mexican products to include coffee, a cornerstone of our culture and a product recognised worldwide. We're proud to offer coffee beans that not only boast an exceptional flavour profile but also represent centuries of tradition and a deep respect for the land.

Why is Mexican coffee a preferred choice for international markets?

  • Quality and Terroir of Origin: Mexican coffee, mostly of the Arabica variety, is grown in the fertile lands of states such as Chiapas, Veracruz, and Oaxaca. The altitude, climate, and soils rich in organic matter in these regions contribute to a unique flavour profile, characterised by a bright acidity, a balanced body, and distinctive notes of chocolate, caramel, and nuts.

  • Sustainable Cultivation: A large portion of Mexican coffee is grown under shade, an agroforestry practice that protects local biodiversity and improves soil health. Many of our producers are smallholder farmers who operate under fair trade principles, ensuring a product that is not only delicious but also ethical and sustainable.

  • Versatile Profile: Mexican coffee is valued for its balance, making it ideal for a wide range of brewing methods, from espresso to filtered. Its clean flavour profile and medium body make it an excellent base for blends, allowing roasters and baristas worldwide to create their own mixes.

Classification and Logistics

Flavours of Origin: Avocado, Coffee, Mango, Dragon Fruit and Mezcal directly from the heart of Mexico.

Grading: Green coffee is rigorously graded to ensure quality. The main grading factors include bean size and the number of defects. We specialise in high-grade beans, such as SHG (Strictly High Grown), which certifies that the coffee was grown at an altitude of over 1,200 metres, giving it a greater density and flavour complexity.

Flavour Profile and Roasting: As exporters, our speciality is unroasted green coffee, ready to be roasted according to the final customer's desired flavour profile. This offers maximum flexibility, allowing artisan and industrial roasters to unlock the full potential of the beans for their own products

Ripening: Our mangoes are harvested at the ideal time for transport. The ripening process is carefully controlled so they arrive at their destination with the right firmness, allowing for an extended shelf life and the ability for the product to ripen on the retail shelf.

Shelf Life: Thanks to a careful process of selection, treatment, and packaging, our mangoes maintain their freshness and quality during sea or air transport, guaranteeing an excellent shelf life upon reaching their final market.

Regulations and Certifications for Export

Flavours of Origin: Avocado, Coffee, Mango, Dragon Fruit and Mezcal directly from the heart of Mexico.

Regulations and Certifications For Mexican coffee to reach global markets with the highest quality and legality, we adhere strictly to the following regulations:

  • Certificate of Origin: An official document that certifies the coffee was produced in Mexico, crucial for free trade agreements.

  • Phytosanitary Certificate: Issued by the Secretariat of Agriculture and Rural Development (SADER) to ensure the beans are free from pests and diseases

  • Registration with the Ministry of Economy: Compliance with all export formalities.

  • Fair Trade and Organic Certifications: We offer coffee beans certified by international organisations like the Fair Trade Organization and USDA Organic, which ensure sustainable and ethical cultivation practices.

Why are our certifications crucial for your business?

  • Expedited and Barrier-Free Access: Certifications act as a passport for our coffee. They facilitate entry into highly regulated markets like Europe and North America, minimising customs delays, preventing additional inspections, and reducing the risk of rejections that could lead to significant losses.

  • Consumer Trust and Competitive Advantage: In the speciality coffee market, consumers are becoming increasingly demanding. A certified coffee isn't just a good coffee; it's a product with a transparent story and values that resonate. By importing a product with these seals, you differentiate yourself from the competition and can justify a premium price, building a lasting relationship of trust with your end customers.

  • Risk Mitigation and Legal Compliance: Every certification is a protective shield. We demonstrate full compliance with international food safety and trade practices, which protects your business from fines, sanctions, and legal issues.

  • Guaranteed Traceability from Farm to Cup: Our certification systems require us to maintain rigorous traceability. This gives you the ability to trace every coffee lot back to its origin, providing you with complete transparency about your product.

By choosing Apex Eco Exporters, you partner with a supplier that guarantees excellence at every step of the process and a genuine commitment to quality, ethics, and sustainability.
